BLOOD TRANSFUSION SERVICE

GOOD RESPONSE TO APPEAL FOR DONORS The Palmerston- North Hospital Board, through the local branch of- the -National- Bloo'd1 Transfusion Service, desires to thank all those donors who- vol'untariiy attended at the Distriet Nurse's Rooms, Levin, recently to- con.tribute blood >to replenish the bank at the public hospital. The. demand for blood jat the hospital' within recent jweeks- has- been very heavy, and' (the stead-y response to the appeal' ;by 28* local- donors is much appreeiated- by those in charge of this Very importa-n-t phase of the hospital's- actiVities-. It is the intention of the authoriti'Cs to- make further calls on loGal donors* f-rom- time to- time, at intervals- of about three m'onths. It is hoped to- compile a roll of donors .SUffieiently- .large so that" each dpnor Will not- be called upon more, frequently than once in . twelVe months.
