EXPORT OF WOOL TOPS
WELLINGTON, May 12. Tlie Australian Governmvnt has takcn action to curtail the export of wool tops to all but five countries, one of which is New Zealand. This - was announced today by the Australian Higli Commissioner (Mr. A. R. Cutler) who explained that in addition to New Zealand, Canada, India, Gliina and Mexico would continue to receive supplies. Provision was made under the scheme of control for orders eonfirmed up to April 17 to be delivered to curtailed, markets, provided they are shipped not later than June 21. However, topmakers could not alter the order of deliverles to supply curtailed markets in the specified period at tlie expense of tlie uncurtailed market. TheAustralian Government would review the position at the end of six months.
