VEN BEDE'S ANGLICAN CURCH

MEETING QF PARISHIONERS There was an. average attendance of parishioners at the annual meeting of Ven. Bede's Anglican Church, held in the Parish Hall last Monday evening. The Rev. J. H. Datson presided. The balance sheet revealed- a year of progress with the finunces in a sound position. Mr. J. Hallam (treasurer) was congratulated on the splendid manner- in which the balance sheet was presented, Tribute was paid by the yicar to all who had shown interest in the church in any way during the year. Interesting discussions on the future welfare of the church, which celebrates its jubilee next year, and work in general in connection with the parish too-r. place. A spirit of progress and advancement prevailed. Offlcers for the coming year were elected as f ollows : — Vicar's church-warden: Mr. C. M. Cronquest; people's church-warden:. Mr. T. Walker; vestrymen: Messrs. C. M. Cronquest, H. L. Norris, G. ■Munford, J. J. Raper, C. Elvines, J. Hallam, T. Walker, Mesdames E. L. Hyde, C. M. Cronquest, H. G. Leng-Ward and C. filvines; treasurer: Mr. J. Hallam; auditor: Mr. J. D. Campbell; synodsman: Mr. G. Munford; sidesmen: Messrs. H. and L. Munford. Tha'nks were extended to Mrs. R. R. Lind and Mrs. C. B. Gunning, as well as guild members, for gifts of flowers for the Anzac service.
