DRAMA ENTHUSIASTS FORM GROUP IN OTAKI
A meeting of those interested in the theatre was held. recently and was well-attended and enthusiastic. As a result it was deeided to form a group to be known as the Otaki Players. It was unanimously deeided to affiliate with the British Drama League and also to study the course in drama provided by the Workers' Educational Association. Miss „ Katherine Keddell was appointed director and Mrs. Malcolm Holmes, Miss Honor Lea ahd Mr. A. Pacey a committee. - Miss Lea is to act as sdcretary-treas-urer, but as she is unable to underta,ke the duties for a short time Mrs. Holmes is acting for the present. Mr. and Mrs. Kirkwood, having kindly offered the use of their home for the meetings, it was deeided to • open with the reading of a three-act play and to alternate the reading and study evenings. With thanks to Mr. and Mrs. McFetridge for the use of the room, a most enthusiastic meeang closed. -1
