OBITUARY

MR. PETER OAG The death occurrea recently at his residence, "Strathmore," Karehana Bay,- Plimmerton, of Mr. Peter O'ag, at the age of 88. • Born in Scotland, he came.to New Zealand at- a very early. age and began life* as 'a shepherd on a station, and later became manager. After- th'at he bbught a farm which he operated very - successfully, and continued buying property. in various places. His many friends all over New Zealand, especially. in Palmerston North, Levin, Shannon, Otaki' and Plimmerton, will remember his energetic, jolly personality and many kindnesses. He was' a keen member of the Plimmerton Boating Club and a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church, and left nearly all of his estate to charities. He took a keen interest in his garden, was a regular contributor to the "John-o'Groats Journal" and other papers in Scotland ' and sent numerous New Zealand papers there. He is survived by his wife.
