CALL TO WOMEN TO HELP IN INDUSTRY

What the Daily Ilerald ealls "tlie second phase in .Britain 's great industrial battle for prosperity, " is about to open with an appeal by the Labour Minister, .Mr. Isaacs, for 600,000 women to go into industries needing them most, notably the Lancashire' cotton industry which is fftced"with an acute labour shortage. The iuducenients will include welfare facilities i'n factories and the provision of more day nprseries where the women can feel their children are being properly looked after, The Government, according to the Daily HeraJd, hopes that thousands of women who left factories when the war ended, will return "to help win the peace."
