NEW ZEALAND "STAND" AT INDUSTRIES FAIR

Eeceived Sunday, 7 p.m. LOXDOX, May 9. Queen Mary and other members of Ihe Eoyal Family were reported to have visited the Xew Zealand staiul in the Empire section of the British Industries Fair. A description of the Xew Zealand stand is giveu in the catalogue of the fair, including a long list of the Dominion's priniary produce. In fact, Xew Zealand is not represented officially at the fair at all, and has no stand. The official explanation isi "We asked for space to be reserved for New Zealand, but later the Marketing Department decided that as the Dominion had nothing to sell and the cost of exhibiting is about four times higlier than before the war, the space would not be occupied. ' ' Other Empire eountfies not represented mclude South Africa and Northern Ireland. A large number of buyers are reported to have inquired for the Xew Zealand stand after seeing it listed in tlie catalogue
