NAPIER, May 8. Tlie trend of higher prices in recent vvooi saies in other eentres was apparent today at the sixth sale of the season held in Napier. Well-styled fleece vvools sold at a higher level than at the previous Napier auction and steady bidding, emanated from Avell spread conipetition. The morning's top price was 31d for 11 bales of scoured pieees. Eour bales of scoured beliies from* the same station brought 29d. Crutchings sold at up to -8^d and locks to 24d.
