Mr. E. Whyman has returned im-. proved in health to his home in Levin from a holiday in the Roto'rua, Taupo and Auckland districts. The Minister of Transport and Marine (Mr. O'Brien), who was discharged from Wellington Publfc Hospital on Monday afternoon after recuperating from an operation, has now resumed his duties at Parliament House. Rev. W. G. Slade, M.A., will be Visiting Levin tomorrow, and will be the preacher at St. John's Methodist Church in the evening. Mr. Slade is well known to many Levin residents as a former minister of St. John's. This year he is president of the Methodist Church of New Zealand and in that capacity will visit extensively in the Dominion and also make a visit to the United States of America in the interests of church work.
