COLLECTION OF FOOD FROM GERMAN FARMERS
Received Friday, 10.50 a.m. BERLIN, May 8. The U.S. military governor in Germany, General Lucius Clay, said that United States troops would be called out if necessary to enforce the collection of food from German farmers. "We would confiscate the farmers' holdings. If I have to I - will. I still have the army here."
