WEEKEND GOLF
ON THE LINKS AT BUCKLEY Golfi'ng conditions over the weekend were not ali all satisfactory, although there were many members on the links. The weather on Saturday was favourable for the piaying of the May medal match. The following are the scores of players who handed in cards: — W. Stern 72, H. Stein 68, J. Baker 81, H. Karena 81, V. Picard 79, R. Harding 86, F. Eamonds 74, V. Tippler 74, J. Bell 75, C. Young 78, C. Booker 81 and T. Roach 85. The second round of the - Picard Bros, Cup was played in conjunction with the medal round. On ' Sunday a f ourball best ball bogey was' played, the winnfers bemg H. Pope and Mrs. H. Pope with three up. This pair won on the count back from D. Higgie and V Tippler three up, and W. Stern and J. Bell three up. Other scores werer^K. Thomson and F. Picard twbi up, H. Mabey and V. Picard .one up, H. Stern and H. Karena all square, F. Edmonds and C. Booker all square. The handicap committee advise the following reductions in handicaps: — H. Stern, reduced from 11 — 8 to 9 — 7, J. Stern from 26 — 20 to 23—17. A stableford competition will be held next weekend.
