LADIES' COMPETITIONS

The captain v. vice-captafn's match played last Wednesday by the ladies' section of the -Levin Golf Club resulted in a definite win for the vice-captafn's team. Individual results were as. follows: Mrs. H. Black halved with Mrs. Ryder, Mrs. Scott lost to Mrs. Clarke, Mrs. Hastedt lost to Mrs. Franklin, Miss Herriek lost to Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Frederikson beat Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Stenden beat Miss Hudson, Mrs. Banner lost to Mrs. Lester and Miss Bevan lost to Mrs. Bull. On Wednesday next Mangaore and Shannon will visit Levin and the draw is as follows, the visiting players being mentioned first in each instance: Mrs. Higgie v. Mrs. Hastedt, Mrs. Lester v. Mrs. Herriek, Mrs. Wilson v. Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Pope v. Mrs. H. Black, Miss Easton v. Mrs. Ryder, Mrs. Baker v. Mrs. Denton, Mrs. Robinson v. Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Beach v. Mrs. J. Clarke and Mrs. Mtzgerald v. Mrs. Kings. The first pair will start from No. 1 tee at 1.15 p.m. sharp. The C grade draw for play on Saturday morning is as follows: Miss Hudson and Mrs. Lister, Mrr . Bonner and Miss Walker, Miss A. Todd and Miss , Franklin, Miss Kilsby and Miss McMinn, Miss Evison and marker. The challenge sheet for the Hunter Buttons is posted in the clubhouse. The holders are Mrs. Franklin and Mrs. Richards and all challenges will be welcome. Play will commence at 10 a.m. Mesdames Clarke and Coutie will be on tea duty during the weekend.
