INVERCARGILL, May 2; Serious injuries were suffered by Rob ert Thompson, aged 74, of Invercargill, when the car be was driving was struck by the southbound express at the Inglewood level crossing this afternoon. Mr. Thompson was admitted to the Southland Hospital and his condition tonight was serious. Mrs. Thompson was uuinjured.
