HEDGES— WALLINGTON WEDDING ~ A pretty wedding was solemnised in St. Barnabas' Anglican Church, Roseneath, when Cynthia Marjorie, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wallington, of Otaki, was married to Thomas Percy, only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Hedges, of Wellington. The Rev. Mr. McLevie officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful fullytrained gown of white georgette. Her plai'n tulle veil, which was worn over the face on entering the church, was held in place by a'n unusual halo Of feathers. She carried a bouquet of- white gladioli, carnations and maidenhair fern? Sister of the bride, Moorea Wallington, was bridesmaid and wore a pipk robia voile frock, with elbow-length lace mittens. Her shoulder-length veil was also held in place with feathers. She carried a pink shower buquet. Assisting the 'groom in the capacity of bestman was Mr.- John McReiton. The ushers were Messrs. Don Wallington and Bill. Roberts. During the signing of the register a family friend, Mrs. Hal Roussell, sang Mendelssohn's '"Ave Maria." On leaving the church little Judy White, niece of the 'groom, presented the couple with a lucky horseshoe. The guests attended a reception and dance at St. Anne's Hall, Newtown. For travelling the bride wore a black and blue check costume, blue blouse and black accessories. Their future home is Wadestown.
