This winter the Horowhenua Scottish Society, in. - conjunction Mth the pipe band, is again holding a series of fortnightly dances in the Druids' Hall. The flrst function, held on April 19, was an outstanding success, and those desirous of joining in these friendiy functions are advised that the second of the series will be next Saturday night. A large and representative attendance of dairy company directors at the Morrinsville conference of the northern ward of the New Zealand Dairy Board, after a review off the negotiations with the Government by the ehairman (Mr. W, E. Hale) unanimously carried a resqlutjon approving of the proposals for setting up a dairy commission. -
