A Bengal Government eominunique says that following serious rioting in which houses were burned, a 35-houia ctirfew was imposed at Entally in Soutn Eastern Caleutta. It added that therc was~ a marked improvement in tlie situatron yesterday, only seventeen ineidents being reported. Six persons were killed and 37 injured when poiice ftreu in four ineidents. The day's arrests totalled 362.
