OLLIVER SHIELD BOWLING
The final- match of the season for the Olliver Shield was played on the Railway Bowling cjub's green on Jiunday ' between' the Railway and Otaki Clubs, the former .proving victorious by three games to two and 113 points tr 92. The green was in fine order and enjoyable games resulted. Results, . with Otaki being mentioned first in , each case, were * Wilson beat. T. . Webster 21—13 Merwood lost to D. Webster 15—27 Grey lost to D. Webster 15—27' Pike beat Ralpli 24—18, Merwood lost to Henderson 17—29. Mr. Wilson, president of • the Otaki Club, thanked the home team for the enjoyable games provided, and congratulated them on their win. Mr. Olliver then presented the shield, expressing the hope that future gam'es would irove as enjoyable as those played hat day. Mr. Rule, in, the absence of Mr. .Kelly, president of the Railway Club, who is still in hospital, thanked all for remarks made, stated that it had been a pleasure to win against such worthy opponents and hoped that many more such games would result.
