WOMEN'S DIVISION

MOUTOA'S ANNUAL MEETING There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Moutoa branch of the Women's Division of Federated Farmers, over which Mrs. S. W. Barber presided. A letter received from E'ngland, thanking the branch for a food parcel, was read °by the secretary, Mrs. T. Fuller. It was decided to send six parcels this month addressed to a children's home in England. The garden circle members decided to carry on with the bloom competitions for a further year. A set of carnation plants is to be purchased for distribution among circle members. A s a result of a bring-and-buy stall the sum of £2 3s 9d was made available to send to the blind children's home at Auckland. Following a discussion, it was decided to forward to CORSO headquarters in Wellington the amount of £2 5s with which a spinning wheel will be purchased to send to Greece. The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows: — President: Mrs. S. W. Barber; vice-presidents: Mesdames L. Sanson and E. Parlato; secretary: Mrs. T. Fuller; delegates to executive meetings: Mesdames Barber, Fuller, J. Newth and L. Carter; flower steward for gardening circle: Mrs. Carter.
