LOCAL AND GENERAL
Marched in the Rain Congratulations are due to the local junior girls marching team, which headed the parade to the domain for the Maori's gala day ari Saturday afternoon. Marching in the heavy rain and without music, these girls proved t-hey could both take it and hand it out. Their standard of marching was excellent and they will go a long way next marching season. No Sunday Football The imposition of electricity restrictions resulted in the prohibition of the use of the Foxton Football Club's light on Easton Park for night rugby practices, and at last week's meeting of the Foxton Borough Council the club advised this position and sought permission for Sunday practices. r\ vomiopf virn c
