Four hundred and sixty-two earcases of lambs and 70 qtiarters of beef from New ZeaJand will be displa; ed ai Smithfield marlcet 011 April 23, in the first postwar New Zealand laml) show and coinpetition, says the Evening Standard. The object of the competi tion is to decide the best t.ype of Umutoi' the London markct and to set U[i standards of export quality. The London Retail Meat . Traders Association, after the show, will distn j bute the lambs and beef representmg 25,000 weekly rations, as normal sup plies to certain London districts whicn will be decided probably by ballot.
