OTAKI BOWLING CLUB
^ The monthly meeting of the committee of the Otaki Bowling Club was held on Tuesday night, the president, Mr. W. Wilson, occupying the chair. jlrrangements were made to secure a coring machine and to top-dress and otherwise improve the green in readiness for next season. A letter was received stating that Mr. Horton, the green supervisor, would visit the green on fhursday. Thanks were, accorded the members of the Otaki Croquet Club for 'he shop- day organised to raise funds for the club. It was stated that this had proved very successful. The closing of the croquet club was announced, and as the president will be absent.it was agreed to ask the vice-president, Mr. J. D. Avery, to officiate at the ceremony. The next committee meeting will be held on May 20. Railway Club A toumament will be held at Otaki Railway green at the weekmd. Rinks from Lower Hutt, Seatoun, Petone, Raumati and Levin have already signified their intenion of taking part. The green is 'n good order and interesting play hould result. Olliver Shield Bowling The following will represent Otaki against Otaki Railway on Saturday at the Railway green in a match for the Olliver Shield: J.
