FOOD FOR BRITAIN FUND

SUBSCRIPTION LIST OPENED At the usual monthly meeting of the Shannon branch of the Returned Services' Association, held on Saturday evening, it was decided that a fund be commenced to provide food parcels for the families of needy ex-servicemen in Britain. A number of donations have already been received and the public are invited to assist. Acknowledgement of donations of £1 each is made from the following: S. W. Barber, R. L. Quinlan, R. Hook, N. R. Sell, E. J. Gunning, J. T. Bovis, J. Ritchie, B. Clayton and V. J. Bateman, a total to date of £9. Donations to the fund may be Left with the secretary, Mr. E. J. Gunning, or at "The Chronicle" Office, Shannon.
