Wedding of Interest A wedding of local interest, solemnised rece'ntly at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Palmerston North, was that of James Lloyd, younger scm of Mr. and Mrs. C. Elvines, Mangaore, and Betty Marea, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Cornfoot, Bulls. The young couple are at present touring the South Island, and on their return will be making their home at Bulls, where Mr. Elvines follows farming pursuits. Memorial Plaque It was announced by the secretary of the Shannon R.S.A., Mr. E. J. Gunning, at the recent meeting of the branch, that the memorial plaque bearing the names of the ten men who paidthe supreme sacrifice in World War II will be affixed to the present war memorial in ample time for a suitable unveiling ceremony to be held on Anzac Day.
