AUCKLAND, April 10. An applieation that consideration bc given to the claims of five llunt Clubs for totalisator licences in the eveut'«J the Commissiou recommending an in crease in the number of licences, was made by Dr. A. McGregor Grant. presid-ent of the New Zealand Hunts Association, in a statemcnt before tht Ganiing Commission. At present the
issue of totalisator licences to. Hunt Clubs was limited to 1(3 annually and this number had not been increased since 1920, said Dr. Grant. Be emphasised that only by additional income to be derived from the use of totalisator licences could Hunt Clubs hope to retain tlieir identity.
