Launch Fails To Return To Port

GISBORNE, April 17. The' Napier fishing launch Dawn, with a crew of three, has been missing since Tuesday morning. The Dawn was last seen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, when she was working in company with the Gisborne launch Tiawhi Dorothy May, 15 miles o.ff Tolaga Bay. When a south'erly blew up the Dorothy May sought shelter at Tolaga Bay and the Dawn left for Gisborne. High seas were running at the .time. The Gisborne launch arrived home yesterday afternoon, but the' Napier launch has not been sighted. Other inquiries have revealed no trace of her. The Napier launch's crew comprised James McKenzie (master), R. Wilkinson (engineer)' and J. Picone (deck-hand), all of Naoier.
