CHRISTCHURCH, April lo. An intensive searching by the police and by voiunteers throughout today failed to liiul auv trace of the ls months old chiid Patrick Anthonv Fralier, ot 38 Averill Street, Shirley, who weut missing at P) o'clock this moruing. As soon as his disappearanci was uoted the child 's niother tele plioned Ihe puiice and as the day wore on witliout linding ihe chiid, ihe p.iiiei. search party was eniarged but by nightl'all the child was still missing and broadeasts and everv other known means of seeking his wheroabouts have failed. The only Hue that was receiv ed by the Central Police Station up to tonight,. came earlv in the day when a woman telephoned to say that she had seen a boy answering to the child 's description but he had sinee disappear ed. The search for the child was intensilied in the iate afternoon' but when darkness fell and the task of tlu* searchers became more ditticult, there was no report. The search was cou tinued during the evening.
