WOMEN'S SECTION OF R.S.A. MEETS

- The usual monthly meeting of the Women's Sectio'nof the Shannon branch of the Returned Services' Association was held in Laurvig's Hall on Saturday evening. Mrs. C. Guerin presided and others present were Mesdames Quinlan, Roberts, Kenny, Ritchie, Morris, Sell and Miss D. Ritchie. Expressions of sympathy . were extended to Mesdames Grifflths, Richardson, Chester, Moss, Allen and Retter, who were unable to attend owing to illness. A further discussion took place on the arts and crafts exhibition to be held in June, and i't was decided to encourage school . children to exhibit. The usual bloom competition was held and the results were: Mrs. Ritchie 1, Mrs. Kenny 2, Mrs. Sell 3. Following the meeting the ladies entertained the men of the R.S.A. at supper. The hostesses on this occasion were Mesdames Quinlan, Sell and Miss Ritchie.
