— * — : Sh LEVIN CLUB NEAR FINALS IN COMPETITIONS Members of the Levin Defence Rifle Club fired at the 600 yards range on Saturday last. Conditions were tricky and the light was poor. With only one more championship round to be fired, the f our leadfng scores are: S. L. Lumsden 566, M. F. Fletcher 565, R. R. Rolston 560 and P. R. Catlev 559 The A. W. Allen Cup and the J. Munro Cup » will be finalised next Saturday, when the ranges will be 300 and 500 yards. Jim Horn and P. R. Catley, with 192 each, have the lead at present for the Allen Cup, while the highest totals for Lhe Munro Cup are P. R. Catley 387, Jim Horn and ' S. L. Lumsden 384 and F. J. Graham 381. . The best totals returned on Saturday, together with the handicaps, were: S. C. Aanensen 44 — 46 —4—90, M. G. Bishop 42—40—9— 91, R. Cole 42—41—6—89, F. D. Chainey 38—38—10—86, M. F.
