The winners of the various grades were:— A grade; Coliege. A; run-ners-up: Kuku. B grade: Texiile A; mrners-up: - Coliege C. C grade: Coliege F; 1 runners-up: shannon C and Primary A. This was the first season that A grade ceams had played 20 minute spells. The Horownenua ceams nau played representative matches against HuttValley and Te Kawau, proceeded Miss Chapman-Cohen. C'xi August 17 the Hutt Valley team had played Horowhenua senior representatives for the Poynton Cup, which had been- pre-
sented by Mr. and Mrs. Roydon and was competed for for the first time. The game was won. by Horowhenua by 13 goals to nine in very bad weather. The Horowhenua second team had played Hutt Valley, but had lost by 22 goals to six. The B grade game was also won by Hutt. Valley by 18 goals to six. On August 24 Te Kawau A and B teams had visited Levin, playing the Horowhenua B and C teaips. Te Kawau had proved too strong, winning both games. " * "At the New Zealand tournament the Horowhenua . senior team played for the first time in tlie second grade section. The tournament was in every respeet a success and the 1 associauion owes its grateful thanks to all those who made it possible for the players to 'travel to Tauranga." Horowhenua. had won five games- and lost three. This had been a very creditable performance for the team's first appearance in the second grade competition. Representative badges and year bars had been presented to the twelve players who had represented Horowhenua. The senior B team had represented the county at the- Rotorua tournament, but had been unsuccessfui. All had enjoyed themselves and nad gainea valua'ole experience. . In closing, Miss ChapmanCohen complimented * all the girls who had travelled to Levin to play each Saturday on the enthusiasm they had displayed throughout the season. She then thanked all those who had contributed in any way to make the season such a success. The officers elected for the ensuing year were as follows: — Patron: Mrs. R. A. Messrs R. Butt, n. nyrne ana n. F. McClune; secretary: Miss G. Fra'nce; treasurer: Miss.L. Bateman; hon. auditor: Mr. G. H. Sorenson; match secretary: Miss Pam Hills. The meeting decided to have three grades for the 1947 season as was the case last year, and bhat Textiles be given the opportunity of being re-graded into the A gfade. Mesdames Lindon and E. Moriarty were appointed as. selectors and eoaches for the B grade representative teams. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks- to the chair.
