Hurrell, who has been n the Palmerston North Hospi;al for some time, has made steady progress, and it is expected that he will return home in the • course 3f the hext few days. Much sympathy is felt for the oereaved widow and • young family of Mr. Jacob Hapeta, who passed away at Foxton a few days ago. Jacob,, who was a son of Mr. Utiku Hapita, was for years a resident of Otaki, and one of the iistrict's leading footballers. Shop Day Raises £30 The shop day held yesterday to raise funds for the Otaki Bowling Club proved very successful, about £30 being raised, due to the efforts of the ladies in charge and to generous donors.
