COMMUNISM SEEN AS GRAVE DANGER
Concern at the "growing of a Communist element" in New Zealand was expressed by Mr. J. J. Maher, M-.P., on Thursday night, wnen addressing members of the National Party in Levin. It was openly backing the squatters at Berhampore, he said, and he considered it the duty of all sane people, whether National or Labour, to prevent its growth and see that it was in no way allowed to control the destiny of this country.
