HIGHWAYS BOARD WILL HEAR OF OHAU BRIDGE
One dif the ftiatters which would be brought to the notice of the Main Highways Board when it visited Levin would be the condi- . tion of the Ohau traffic bridge. This was the. promise of the Horowhenua * County CoUncil chairman, Mr. G. 1 4. Monk, when the board's itinerary was presented at the monthly meeting oh the council ' in Levin . yesterday. « The board mcmbers will shortly .be touriiig the West Coast district ; of the North Island, and will stop in Levin for lunch on April 23. Aceidents on this bridge were to a large extent due to carelessness by motoristSj, contended Mr. Monk, but he agreed that its condition should be pointed out to the board. A dangerous railway crossipg SOuth of Manakau was also mentioned as a matter which should be referred to the board.
