LARGE WEEKEND ATTEND ANCE Ideal weather-. ' conditions prevailed at Buckley over '• the Easter weekend and the links were well patronised by golfing .enthusiasts. The links are steadily .improving and the greens are in jquite good order. The el'ub will open its season's competitions on Saturday "afternoon, when a stroke" competiaon will be held. Over the weekend a bogey competition was conducted and the scores of those who handed in cards were as follows:— E. T. Wilson 1 down, R. S. Downes 7 down, H. -Stern 1 down, C. Booker 5 down, J. Bell 7 down, H. Karena 7 down, R. fiarding 2 down,, D. Purcell 2 down, W. Stern 2 up and Mrs. H. Pope 3 down. At a committee meeting held on Tuesday evening it was decided to hold a two-day tournament over the Anzac weekend. Play will commence on Saturday with a medal round and teams match. On Sunday a bogey competitio'n will be held in the morning and a men's foursome in the afternoon. Invitabions have been extended to neighbouring clubs to take part.
