Mr. "Jim" List, at one time caretaker of the Otaki Maori Racing Club's course, and now of Lower Hutt, was among the visitors to Otaki yesterday. . Mr. List was accompanied > by the wellknown trotting. enthusiast, Mr. August. The funeral of the late Mr. M. ("Nat") Williams took place. yesterday afternoon when there was a large and representative attendance, including a number from distant parts. After- a service on the lawn at the late residence, conducted by the Rev. Paora Tem uera, the procession wended its way to the cemetery, where Mr. Temuera conducted a furthei impressive service, while retuined soldiers from the South African and the two world wars stood nearby. The casket was draped with the Queen's colours/ with those of the South African colours, while many beautiful floral tributes were placed o'n the grdve. The bereaved have been the recipients of a large number of sympathetic messages.
