British Commonwealth Qc* cupation Force in Japan, which is regarded a§ a weak concession tq Jfapanese p,rroganc6, is causing general resentment amoiig th6 Royal Navy and the New Zealand and Australian personnel, says the. Daily Tejegraph's Tokio corres^ pondent. The order bqns any pub^ lic ceremohial and eonfines services to units. The reason for the curtailment is believed to be the fact that Anzac Pav cqipcides with the Japapese House of Representatives electiqn, and the "Japanese may construe the qustomary Anzac Day parades ts a show of force which may influence .the voting." . The American authorities denied that they were responsible for the ban.
