PROVINCIAL TITLE.

WELLINGTON, April 8. After a comparatively dreary start the final of the Wellington provincial golf championship played today on the Hutt Club's course, developed into on? of the longest ma'tches in reeent years, when G. Tustin beat W. B. Reillv on the 41st green. From the outset it was apparent that the three days of hard play had sapped-. both men of their best performance — the ultimate match, tliough tempered with occasional flashes of brilliance, was more a trial of endurance than of first class golf. Tustin led 1 up after the morning round and the match was also squared twiee before it reached the 36th.
