FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS

WELLINGTON, April 8. Arrangeme.nts in connection with the funeral of Mr. Suliivan were aijnouneed tonight by the Prime Minister. Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Angels, Boulcott Street, at 9.30 a.m. Thursday. Archbishop O'Shea will preside at the Mass and the ceremonies of absolution will be carried out by him. The Right Reverend T. F. Connelly, Y.G., will be the "celebrant. Reverend Father Paul Kane, S.M., will preach the panegyric at the conclusion of the Requiem Mass. The easket will be eonveyed to Parliament House where the body will lie in state trom 11.30 a.m. uriti! 4 p.ra. at which time the funeral proeessxon, which will be on foot, will lenvo from thn main stops of
Parliament House. -The proeession will procced via the Bowen Street entrance to Parliament grounds, down Bunny Street to the point of destination in Waterloo Quay. The body will be eonveyed south in the Rangatira on Thursday night. It is tecjuested that floral tributes from the North Island desired to be lodged in Wellington, are to be delivered at the Bowen Street entrance of Parliament Buildings not later than 2 p.m. on Thursday. The wreatlis will be displayed in the social hall. Floral tributes lodged in the South Island should be delivered to the Civic Theatrei adjoining the City Council Chambers, Christchurch. During the lying-in-state at Paiiia^ ment Hous^ members of the public who wish to show their respect will have the opportunity to do so between 12 noon and o p.m. On Friday the body will lie in state. at the Civic Theatre, Christchurch, and on the morning of Saturdav Solemn Requiem Mass will be celebrated at the Catholic Cathedral, Barbadoes Street. The funeral procession will leave the Gathedral immediatelv after the Mass and the interment will take place in the Bromley lawn ceme tery. Further details of the Christchurch arrangemenfs will be announced later. It is anticipated that all members of Lie Government will attend the funeral in Christchurch together "witb representatives of the Labour movemont» . " _ _
