Notwiths.ta'nding previous a*nnouncements which have been made, the Railways Department states that some confusion still exists in the minds of ihe public regardi'ng the period withi'n which train seats and sleeping berths may be reserved in advance of tjhe travel date. The -department advises that reservations may -npw be made 14 days ahead of th.e travel date at stations .from which trains cpmmence their journey, and at other stations 16 days ahead of fche travel date.
