LODGE MEMBERS FAREWELL TWO OF THEIR NUMBER At the invitation of Sister Storey, fche sisters of the Loyal Ofange Lodge, Levin, met on a recent afternoon to farewell two of their number, Sisters A. and D. Williams.The guests of honour were presented with beautiful shouldef sprays by Sister Mudgway, while a d.ainty afternoon tea was dispensed by the hostess. Sister H. E. Bowen,, at the request of W. M. Shirley, then rieferred to the very great loss the lodge would sustain and the people of Weraroa generally in the departure of the1 two guests of honour. In WeraroaSister A. Williams ,had been in every activity for the welfare of the community over a perio.d of 40 years, The Anglican church and Sunday School, with a commencing , number of 60, had been entlrely due to Mrs. Williams and her sister, Mrs. Hanson, who had both carried on for over 40 years. She had been actively concerned in the building of.: the Weraroa Hall and teunis courts, and in recent years had organised card evenings and dance functions for the entertainment of the people of Weraroa. In pre- j senting Sister Williams with. aj salad bowl and Sister D. Williams with a box of handkerchiefs, 'Sis- ! ter Bowen, on behalf of sisters, wished them health and prosperity and a return to Levin in the not distant future. Sister Williams suitably responded, thanking all for their gifts.
