METHODIST LADIES' GUILD
The usual monthly meeting of the St. John's Methodist Guild wa-s held in the Bible class room^ recently, when Mrs. A. C. Kennerley presided over a small attendance of 17 .members. Missionary letters were read and members stood -in silence as a mark Of sympathy with the relativ.es of Mrs. Boyer, who was a memb.er. It was announced that the gard.en party had been. very sueeessfu'l. The visiting committee reported that 26 yisits had been made during the month to sick' and .aged folk, It was decided to hold a guild social afternoon for the .older members of the church, both men and women, once a quarter, the first of these to take place on May 1 in the Bible class rooms. After hearing several letters •r.e.ad from Britain ' it was decided to pack and send more food parcels at an early date. Following a request from the CORS.O committee, members agreed to make aprons f.or the CORSO shop day in "May. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Andrieksen and Lovejoy, and the meeting concluded with. the- Benediction.
