Father O'Connor was the offlciating clergyman. • , The death occurred this morning of Mr. N. (Nat) Williams, a wellknown and highly respected resfdent of Otaki. The deceased, who had been in ill health for some time, was at one, time a well-known horse trainer, both in the Wairarapa and Otaki. He leaves a widow, three daughters and one son to mourn their loss. Aerodrome Mooted •' It is freely rumoured that on account of the aerodrome at Paraparaumu sinking in places, that a site will at no distant date be selected at Te Horo. Bitten by Conger Eel An encounter with a coqger eel resulted in a 14-year-old Paekakariki boy having to receive hospital treatment for a torn finger. The boy was Keith White and the incident occurred during a fishing trip near Kapiti Island on, Sunday. He was endeavouring to free the hook from the eel's mouth after it had been landed, when it seized his hand. All Saints' Guild At the annual meetmg of All Saints' Guild recently the following officers were elected: — President: Miss Holmes; vice-president: ' Mrs. Garlick; secretary: Mrs. W. B. Bennett; treasurer: Mrs. Fife. The vicar, Canon H. E. K. Fry, expressed appreciation of the useful work done by members of the guild throughout the year, especially , in regard to social activities, and in helping to raise finance for the church funds. Miss O'Loughlen was elected secretary for the All Saints* Sanctuary Guild.
