COLOURLESS WOOL SALE AT NAPIER
NAPIER, April 2. Excepting for a keen inquiry for Lambs' and price wools, the fifth wool sale at Napier today had a somewhat colourless opening. American representatives appeared go be out of the market and Continental buyers were not nearly as active as at earlier auctions. Bradford and British-owned mills supplied the main buying strength. The catalogue of 32,000 bales comprised greasy wools almost exclusively, there being a few fancy parcels. This morning's exeeption was 28d paid by an Engi l'ish firm for eight bales of down • prices. Quite a number of big clips were well punctuated with passings in favour of the joint organisation of buyers and estimates of fleece wools being as much as 2d below the floor price.
