Killed In Stabbings ; 116 Arrested

' Received Tuesday, 10.-30 a.m. •bombay, March 31, The whole of Bombay was ordered under a curfew today. Seven were killed and 12 injured in knife aftacks, and R16 . were •• ajrrested duririg the day's .disturbanc.es. A Punj aj? Goverrnnent communique said that police and troops have been sent to Gurgaon, in Ambala, where the communal situation is causing anxiety. The situatioh in -Lahore and the remalhder of Punjab is quiet. In Caleutta the police to midafternoon had. been compeiled to flre 60 times against . stabbing affrays, arson and_ aeid throwing. T*wo were killed and 13 injured. A dawn to dusk curfew has beeh jmposed in four more areas in Howrah, near Caleutta.
