r—T «■! i — CpMMITTEE'S MARCP MEETING The montlily meeting of' the committee of the Levin Nursery Piay centre was held recentiy, the Mayoress (Mrs. H. ' B. Burdekin) presiding, There were also present Mesdames H. Harvey, Burnham, Keedwefl, Neas, Corry, Sharp and J. Rolston. ApoiQgies were received from Mesdames C, Black, Clentworth, Antcliffe and S. J. Thompson. Mrs. Burnham, 'the play centre supervisor, reported satisfactory progress at \he centre, although it was felt that the support of niothers had not been as encouraging as in the previous termRegret was expressed at the notice of Mrs, Bryant's desire to be relieved Qf her duties as supervisor on Fridays on accou'nt of health reasons. Mrs. Bryant advised that she was prepared to continue the work until the end of the term, which is May 9. Good Friday and Easter Tuesday were decided on as holidays also. At an afternoon held at Mrs, Burdekin's residence, the committee presented Mrs. R. Long with a sinai! gift in appreciation of her services to the centre during her term as seeretary. Mrs. Long suitably replied and asked that the same co-operation and support given her be accorded her successor, Mrs, J, Rolston, Th'e play centre is open at St. Mary's Hall on Tuesdays from 1.30 to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 2 to 4 p,m.
