MUST BORROW £350,000,000 THIS YEAR
Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, March 29. Britain is expected to have to borrow £350,000,000 from abroad this year, said Sir Stafford Cripps ih a speech. "That is the amouht by which we cannot balahce our payments "by exporting," he said. ! He wished food imports could be increased. In his view they were already on too low a level "hut we have not the dollars we need to do it and unfortunately food prices in America have risen hy 30 per cent. ' '
