LONDON, March 28. Melvin Purvis, aged 2! yeal's, survived after flood- waters earried him through Bridlington town attd across the harbour almost to the open sea. He fell, while playing, into the flooded stream, went under two bridges, through a 40-yard tunnel, and a further quarter of a mile in tlie current racing across the harbour to the sea. Townspeople, shouting across the harbour and pointing to the water, attracted the attention of fishermen at the outer mole. Thev caught the bov ju'st in time and revived him with artificial respiration.
