Received Sunday, 7.40 p.m. LONDON, March 28. An ofiicial farewell to the Boyd Neel orchestra prior to its departure for Australia and New Zealand was given hy the British Council. Representatives of the New Zealand and Australian Governments were present. The Council is backing the orchestra financially so that it may give concerts in country districts and isolated conunuhities which would not he financially practicable on a pnrely commercial tour. The orchestra will travel hy air via America, some of its instruments having been sent in advance by sea.
