HOW AVA GARDNER GOT IN FILMS
Ava Gardner, who has the leading feminine role in "The Killers," came straight off a Caroline farm into pictures when her photograph was taken by a theatrical photographer while she was, visiting^her iister in New York. A Hollywood fllm scout spotted her photograph, got her a test and a contract. ' Later Ava got herself Mickey Rooney — but that did not last long. .Ava was given her : part in "The Killers" as the direct result of her work with George Raft in "Whistle Stop." "The Killers" will be Ava's flfth fllm.
