MORE RIOTS IN CALCUTTA
Received Friday, 11 a.m. CALCUTTA, March 27. The Bengal Goverhment states that Six have been killed and 46 injured in riotihg since mi"dnight. The police fired eighte'en rounds an'd also used "te'ar gas. Tivo hundred people, some of thehi carrying weapons have so far been aTre'sted. Thebe is tehsion in 'th'e dffe'c'ted areas, but the ihai'n thoroughfares function norfnally. The autho'rities ordered the police to take drastic measures and imposed a two-day curfew in the worst affected areas. Armed .police patrolled all the danger areas. The Northeast F-rohtier Government has reported froin -PeshaWar that there have been no fresh dis-tul-bances since six ivere killed yesterday in Marda'n, 30 ifiiles !east of Peshawar. . The Govetnmeiif; o'f New Delhi where a night curfew is still irfrposed over all the old city, extended the curfew to 24 hours in nne section following a stabbing case.
