OPIKI WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
ANNUAL MEETING There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Opiki Women's Institute held recently. Mrs. ,Claridge presided. Welcomes were extended to Mrs. Chambers and Mrs. Ivan- Claridge. The annual reports were read and adopted. The incoming president, Mrs. Kriven, thanked Mrs. Claridge and her committee for the splendid year's work. The following officers were elected for the coming year: — President: Mrs. Kriven; vice-presidents*: Mesdames Miers and Patterson; secretary: Mrs. , Graham-Smith; treasurer; Mrs. Wilson; press correspondent: Mrs. Percy; committee: Mesdames j. Aitchison.. G. Larsen, R. Pattqrson, GrahamSmith, J. Percy, R. Horne, C. Robinson and R. Miers. ' Mrs. Kriven was also elected leader of the gardening circle, with Mrs. Aitchison secretary and Mrs. Larsen assistant secretary. Mrs. Kriven thanked fellow members for appointing her to the chair, and asked tnat sne be given every assistance and support in the duties assigned her. The usual 'cdfhpetitions were held and the rbll' eall was "Opinions on the Year's Programme." Tho points prize for the y6ar (gardening circle) .. was won by Mrs. Irwin.; ' ; . , , ,
